Does CompanyGPT really run in my cloud?
Yes, 100%. We set up all components automatically directly in your Microsoft Azure Tenant. You have full control - we are not a SaaS provider hosting your data. As an alternative, we also offer STACKIT (German sovereign cloud).
Who is innFactory GmbH?
innFactory GmbH is our sister company and official Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) as well as Google Cloud Partner. They can provide you with cloud accounts and optionally take over infrastructure maintenance.
Do I need my own cloud account?
Essentially all you need is a Microsoft tenant - we take care of the rest. If you do not have a suitable subscription yet, innFactory GmbH acts as a Microsoft Data & AI Partner and brings a subscription into your tenant, running on the same terms as buying directly from Microsoft. All resources stay inside your own tenant throughout. For additional AI models, a Google Cloud project or an AWS account can optionally be added.
How does token billing work?
The AI models are provisioned via Microsoft Foundry or the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform inside your own cloud. Token costs appear directly on your cloud bill - with no markup from us. This applies to the platform's native models. Models you obtain through a marketplace are billed by the respective vendor under their own terms - we do not earn anything there either, but the pricing is not set by the cloud platform. We clarify upfront which models are natively available in your case.
Why no per-seat or per-user fees?
CompanyGPT is a fork maintained by innFactory and builds on numerous open source components such as LibreChat and Firecrawl. That is why there are no per-seat licenses: you only pay for what you actually use - cloud infrastructure, AI tokens and the maintenance contract, which covers maintenance and the licensing of the innFactory addons. No vendor lock-in, no hidden subscription fees.
What is included in the maintenance contract?
The maintenance contract covers two things: maintaining your system and licensing the components that are not open source - essentially the addons and MCP modules developed by innFactory. It includes security updates, new features, monitoring, backup management, technical support and all addons. We keep developing these addons - they are usually included at no extra cost and stay available for as long as we look after your system. Only when a new addon requires setup work in your environment may a one-time integration fee apply, simply because it takes joint sessions with your internal IT team. The price of 399 EUR/month applies when the infrastructure is provided through innFactory GmbH as CSP (Azure, and Google Cloud or STACKIT when needed); with your own cloud subscription a surcharge may apply. Additional services - such as developing custom MCP servers, individual adaptations or active project support - are billed at list price. Alternatively, you can manage the system yourself with your IT team; you have full access to the entire configuration.
How does pricing scale?
The one-time setup costs apply regardless of the number of users. Cloud and token costs scale linearly with usage. Even with 500+ users, costs remain predictable - see our example calculations.

Where is my data stored?
CompanyGPT runs entirely in your own infrastructure in the EU. Choose between Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or STACKIT. Your data never leaves your control.
Which AI models can I use?
CompanyGPT supports OpenAI GPT-5.6 (Sol, Terra and Luna via the Microsoft Foundry EU Data Zone), Google Gemini 3.7 and 3.5 Flash, Anthropic Claude (Opus 5, Sonnet 5, Haiku 4.5), Perplexity AI as well as self-hosted models via STACKIT Model Serving. Microsoft Foundry adds DeepSeek, Mistral and Llama; the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform adds Kimi and Qwen. A note on data residency: Gemini 3.7 Flash is usable in EU deployments, but Google currently documents the commitment to store and process data exclusively in the EU only for 3.5 Flash. What does CompanyGPT cost?
CompanyGPT starts at 14,990 EUR as a fixed-price package. There are no per-seat or per-user fees. Ongoing costs are token-based directly with the provider. Maintenance contract for 399 EUR/month when infrastructure is provided via innFactory GmbH as CSP (includes maintenance, licensing of the innFactory addons, updates and support – such as companyDashboard, companyRAG, companyTRANSLATE, companyTRANSCRIBE and companyFILES). All prices plus VAT.
How high are the ongoing API costs?
Monthly API costs depend on usage patterns and model choice. The key factor: models such as Claude Opus 5 or GPT-5.6 Sol are considerably more expensive than Claude Haiku or GPT-5.6 Luna. Our estimate for 10–50 users is roughly 500–1,500 EUR per month – but only if users deliberately pick the model that fits the task instead of defaulting to the most expensive one. This is why the user training included in the package is central to cost control: teams that know when a fast model is enough and when Opus is required save up to 80% of their model costs. CompanyGPT also lets you preconfigure a default model per use case.
How long does implementation take?
The AI solution can be ready for use within a few weeks. The package includes setup, AI guidelines and employee training.
Is CompanyGPT EU AI Act compliant?
Yes, we provide the appropriate AI guidelines for the EU AI Act as well as corresponding training for your employees' AI competence.
How much effort does this create for our IT department?
If you handle authentication via Microsoft Entra ID, experience shows the effort on your side is around one hour – essentially the approval inside your tenant. We handle the rest: setup, configuration, integration and go-live.
Is CompanyGPT suitable for professionals bound by secrecy (Section 203 German Criminal Code)?
Yes, with the right contractual framework. Physicians, hospitals, law firms and tax advisors are subject not only to the GDPR but also to Section 203 of the German Criminal Code. What matters is that CompanyGPT runs in your own Azure subscription and that Microsoft offers a Section 203 addendum for Azure – unlike many other cloud providers. Do I also need the AI Gateway?
No. Our AI Gateway is a separate product and fully compatible with CompanyGPT, but not a prerequisite. If you do not need central API key management and cost center allocation across multiple teams, applications and model providers, you can run CompanyGPT without the gateway.
Can I use CompanyGPT directly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook?
Yes. With the native Office add-in from companyM365 (our MCP server for Microsoft 365), CompanyGPT is available as a task pane directly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook – comparable to the way Microsoft Copilot works.
