Use Xentral with AI via MCP
The ERP is where orders, inventory and invoices come together – and with them the questions asked most often in day-to-day business. Since July 2026, Xentral has offered an official MCP server in open beta that CompanyGPT connects to as a remote endpoint.
What is Xentral?
Xentral is a cloud ERP system from Germany, developed by Xentral ERP Software GmbH. It combines order processing, merchandise management and warehousing, purchasing, invoicing and accounting interfaces in one application, with a strong focus on retail and e-commerce processes – including connections to shop systems, marketplaces and shipping providers.
For AI agents, an ERP is the densest data source in the company: almost every business transaction leaves a trace there. Via MCP, order, inventory and document data becomes reachable in natural language, instead of employees filtering lists or exporting reports.

How to Connect Xentral to CompanyGPT
Xentral has provided an official MCP server in open beta since July 2026. It runs as a remote service and is authorized via OAuth, so no server installation of your own is required. CompanyGPT connects to the remote endpoint directly; the technical details of the access path are documented in the Xentral help centre.
Open beta means the scope and the available tools may still change. We therefore recommend starting with clearly defined use cases – typically read queries on orders, stock and documents – and widening the scope step by step once the behavior has proven itself in daily use.
Access remains bound to the permissions of the connected Xentral account. In CompanyGPT, your administrators additionally control via roles and groups which departments may use the ERP integration.
Typical Use Cases
How AI agents in CompanyGPT work with Xentral
Order status without detours
Inside sales asks in chat about a customer order and receives delivery and invoicing status without clicking through order lists.
Stock and reordering at a glance
Purchasing has items with low stock and open supplier orders compiled into a prioritized list.
KPIs for the weekly round
Management receives a compact summary of incoming orders, revenue and open items from the previous week – written out rather than as a raw table.
Frequently Asked Questions
Xentral and AI – the most important answers
Does Xentral have an official MCP server?
Yes. Since July 2026, Xentral has offered an official MCP server that runs as a remote service and is authorized via OAuth. It is currently in open beta.
What does open beta mean for production use?
The server is openly accessible, but its scope and tools may still change. We therefore prefer to start with read-oriented use cases and expand step by step.
Do we have to run anything ourselves?
No. The MCP server is provided by Xentral as a remote endpoint. CompanyGPT connects to it directly, so no additional infrastructure appears on your side.
Does the AI see all ERP data?
Access follows the permissions of the connected Xentral account. On top of that, your CompanyGPT administrators decide via roles and groups who may use the integration at all.
Is Xentral a German product?
Yes, Xentral is developed by Xentral ERP Software GmbH in Germany. Beyond that, your existing contracts with Xentral govern the data protection assessment.
