What is SAP Sales Cloud?
SAP Sales Cloud is SAP SE’s cloud CRM, evolved from SAP Cloud for Customer and now part of the customer experience suite. It supports sales management, account and opportunity management, quotation processes and field sales, and is designed for tight integration with S/4HANA. Version 2 is built on an API-first microservice architecture.
For AI use the CRM is interesting because it holds the customer context the ERP lacks: meeting notes, competitive situations, decision paths. An agent reading opportunity history and activities can derive call preparation, status overviews and follow-up tasks – without anyone clicking through multiple tabs.

How to Connect SAP Sales Cloud to CompanyGPT
SAP does not currently provide an MCP server for Sales Cloud, and no mature community projects exist either. The route therefore runs through the solution’s standard interfaces.
Sales Cloud exposes its objects through OData APIs and – in version 2 – REST APIs with an OpenAPI description. Together with your CRM team we select the relevant entities, such as accounts, opportunities, activities and quotations, and provide them as clearly scoped MCP tools inside your CompanyGPT environment. The principle: any API with a machine-readable description can be turned into an MCP integration this way.
Authentication uses OAuth 2.0; depending on the setup, basic auth or mTLS are possible as well. The technical account receives only the permissions the use case requires – often read-only to begin with. Since Sales Cloud is SaaS reachable over HTTPS, no separate network link is needed. Inside CompanyGPT, your administrators then release the integration specifically to sales roles.
