CompanyGPT Integration MCP server: streamable HTTP Partner Connected in our demo

Use doo with AI via MCP

doo is the event management platform of doo GmbH in Munich – and with doo Agents it already ships its own MCP server. That makes it possible to control events, bookings and attendee data directly from CompanyGPT, without switching to the doo interface. As a doo partner, we have set up the connection in our demo environment and verified it technically on September 8, 2026 – you can experience it live.

What is doo?

doo is a modular software for event management and attendee management from doo GmbH in Munich. The platform covers the entire attendee journey: invitation management and personalized email campaigns, registration and ticketing with payment processing, event websites and forms, guest management, check-in with badges, and reporting. doo is used for live, hybrid and online events – from corporate events and seminars to congresses and trade shows. According to the company, more than 600 customers use the platform, including corporates, associations, publishers, banks, agencies and public institutions; doo itself describes the range as “8 or 80,000 attendees”.

doo was founded in late 2013 by Christoph Sedlmeir and Dr. Michael Liebmann, both formerly at Bain & Company; Frank Thelen was one of the first investors in 2014. Today Sedlmeir is managing director responsible for service and sales, Dr. Florian Fuchs leads the technical architecture and Christian Schönknecht product development. Support and personal contacts are based in Munich. According to doo, all data is processed 100 percent within the EU, without transfer to the US; the platform is ISO 27001 certified, follows BSI IT-Grundschutz and BSI C5, undergoes annual penetration tests and privacy audits by independent third parties and provides a data processing agreement. That matches the core idea of CompanyGPT: using AI without data flowing to third countries.

doo is particularly rewarding for AI use because event data is highly structured. Events, ticket categories, bookings, attendee fields such as dietary requirements or company affiliation, payment status and check-in times all live in clearly defined fields. An agent can generate reports from that, answer attendee questions and – where permitted – create or modify bookings, instead of someone switching back and forth between chat, CRM and event tool.

How to Connect doo to CompanyGPT

With doo Agents, doo provides an official remote MCP server that has been available in the early access program since July 15, 2026. The endpoint for the organizer role is https://mcp-organizer.doo.net/mcp. It is a streamable HTTP server with an API key: CompanyGPT sends JSON-RPC messages via HTTP POST directly to this endpoint – without middleware and without passing through third-party servers. We verified this on September 8, 2026: the server answers an initialize request without a token with the JSON-RPC error Missing credentials: provide 'Authorization: Bearer <token>' header, rejects invalid credentials with Authentication failed: invalid client credentials, and offers neither a separate SSE stream via GET nor OAuth discovery. That is exactly the behavior CompanyGPT expects from a streamable HTTP server with a static token.

Authentication therefore does not use per-user OAuth but client credentials that your doo administrators generate in the organization settings (gear icon → Users → Client Credentials). client_id:client_secret is Base64-encoded into the API key, which is sent as Authorization: Bearer <token> with every request. doo recommends doing the encoding offline – for example in PowerShell – rather than in an online encoder. Important: doo shows the client secret only once. We store the token encrypted in your CompanyGPT instance; employees never see it. The server alternatively accepts a ?token= URL parameter; CompanyGPT uses the header only, so the token never ends up in logs or proxies.

Because the token applies at organization level, CompanyGPT takes over the control of who may use the doo agent: your administrators enable the integration specifically for roles and groups – for example only the event team and the management assistants – and define per agent which tools are available. Every action is logged in CompanyGPT and attributed to the signed-in user. This corresponds to the first of the two GDPR options in the doo documentation: logging, audit trail and access control in the agent platform. If you prefer the second option, create separate client credentials in doo per team or person; we map that in CompanyGPT as well.

On the doo side, the prerequisites are an active organization with administrator rights and at least one existing event. The access of one set of credentials is always limited to a single doo organization.

Setup in doo and CompanyGPT

How the connection is set up step by step

1

Create client credentials in doo

Your doo administrator opens the organization settings (gear icon), goes to the Users → Client Credentials tab and creates an access with a descriptive name via “New Client Credentials”, for example “CompanyGPT event team”. Save client ID and client secret immediately – the secret is not shown again after closing the dialog and must be treated like a login password.

2

Build the API key and store it in CompanyGPT

client_id:client_secret is Base64-encoded to form the bearer token – offline, not in an online encoder. We register the MCP server with the endpoint https://mcp-organizer.doo.net/mcp and the header Authorization: Bearer <token> in your CompanyGPT instance – encrypted, centrally managed, rotatable at any time.

3

Enable for roles and groups

Your CompanyGPT administrators decide which teams see the doo server: typically event management, marketing and assistants. All other users are not offered the integration at all.

4

Create agents and restrict tools

In CompanyGPT you create one or more agents with the doo server as their tool source. Per agent you choose whether it may only read (reports, status checks) or also create events and modify bookings. A suitable system prompt defines tone and guardrails.

5

Test the connection – in your environment or in our demo first

doo recommends a simple query of existing events as the first test. We then walk through typical workflows together on a test event before the agent goes live. If you want to get a picture first, you can experience the connection in our demo instance, where doo is already set up.

The doo Agent Roles

Which role is intended for whom – and what it may do

For organizers and event teams

Organizer Agent

The role for day-to-day operations. It supports event managers with everything that would otherwise require opening the doo interface, and works via the endpoint mcp-organizer.doo.net.

  • Create and edit events from templates
  • Create, modify and cancel bookings
  • Register attendees, transfer them and segment them into contact groups
  • Hand over booking and attendee data to other systems such as CRM or accounting
  • Check status: capacity, payments, check-ins
  • Analyze events and derive improvements for the next edition
For attendees and prospects

Booker Self-Service Agent

The role for chat solutions on event websites or in the customer portal. It answers standard questions around the clock and relieves the service team.

  • Answer questions about program, venue, times and conditions
  • Retrieve booking information and tickets
  • Update personal attendee data, such as dietary requirements or billing address
  • Guide through registration
  • Support outside office hours without involving the event team

What the Agent Can Do in doo

Typical Use Cases

How AI agents in CompanyGPT work with doo

Plan a webinar in one pass

An agent with access to Outlook and doo checks speaker availability, proposes dates and then creates the webinar from the template in doo – with title, period, ticket categories and registration deadline.

Book invitations from the CRM

Sales selects a customer group from the CRM in CompanyGPT. The agent registers the contacts as attendees for the customer event and flags key accounts as VIPs with invoice payment.

Catering list without Excel

Three days before the event, the assistant asks for the catering overview. The agent delivers the number of attendees, vegetarian and vegan shares and all reported allergies – ready for the caterer.

Self-service on the event website

A chat on the event page answers questions about directions, program and rebooking. Attendees change their data themselves; the event team only sees exceptions.

No-show analysis after the event

After the congress, the agent compares registrations with check-ins, determines the no-show rate per ticket category and suggests which segments need one more reminder next time.

Management summary in minutes

For the board report, the agent combines doo data with revenue figures from the BI system: attendees, ticket revenue, capacity and rating per event, neatly phrased as a short summary.

Example Prompts for doo

How employees talk to doo in CompanyGPT

Create an event from the “Customer Breakfast” template for October 24 in Munich, 40 seats, registration deadline one week before.
Which of our events in November are already sold out, and where are more than 20 seats still available?
Prepare the catering overview for the partner forum: total, vegetarian, vegan and all reported allergies.
Move Ms. Maier from the morning workshop to the afternoon workshop and confirm the new booking number.
What was the no-show rate at the last annual congress, broken down by ticket category?
Summarize for management how our three autumn events went – attendees, capacity, revenue.

Security, Privacy and Governance

What doo and CompanyGPT secure together

Roles and approvals instead of full access

doo Agents work role-based and respect the permissions of the doo organization. Critical actions such as cancellations or refunds can be restricted to selected agents in CompanyGPT or blocked entirely.

Complete logging

doo logs all agent actions and makes them auditable; CompanyGPT adds the attribution to the signed-in user. Compliance teams see who triggered what and when – on both sides.

Data stays in Germany and the EU

According to doo, processing takes place 100 percent within the EU, without data transfer to the US, with ISO 27001 certification, annual penetration tests and a DPA. CompanyGPT runs in your own cloud tenant – the connection between the two involves no third party.

Clearly divided responsibilities

doo retains control over critical processes such as billing and compliance; your organization controls access and tools; innFactory sets up, documents and trains. Actions can be paused and reversed.

Live in our demo

doo is connected in our CompanyGPT demo

In our demo instance, the doo MCP server is already connected to an organizer agent. You see live how an agent creates events, queries bookings and produces reports – driven by your own questions, not by prepared slides.

Frequently Asked Questions

doo and AI – the most important answers

doo and AI: the MCP connection

Does doo have an official MCP server?

Yes. With doo Agents, doo provides an official remote MCP server. The endpoint for the organizer role is mcp-organizer.doo.net/mcp. The offering has been in the early access program since July 15, 2026; doo names Microsoft Copilot, Claude and Cursor as typical environments – CompanyGPT connects the same way.

Which transport and authentication does the doo MCP server use?

Streamable HTTP with an API key. CompanyGPT sends JSON-RPC messages via HTTP POST to mcp-organizer.doo.net/mcp and authenticates with a bearer token formed by Base64-encoding client ID and client secret. We verified the behavior on September 8, 2026: without a token, the server responds with an error message that demands exactly this header; OAuth discovery or a separate SSE stream are not provided.

Is doo really already connected in the CompanyGPT demo?

Yes. In our demo instance, the doo MCP server is connected to an organizer agent. In a demo session we show the connection live and answer your questions directly on the system – creating events, registering attendees, generating reports.

How does sign-in work if doo does not offer per-user OAuth?

The doo MCP server uses client credentials at organization level. We store the resulting bearer token encrypted in CompanyGPT. Your administrators control who may use the agent via roles and groups in CompanyGPT; every action is attributed to the signed-in user. For an even finer separation, several sets of credentials can be created in doo, for example per team – doo describes exactly these two options in its documentation.

Can the agent cancel events or trigger refunds?

Technically yes – doo Agents can cancel events and process cancellations including refunds. Whether your agent is allowed to do so is defined per agent in CompanyGPT. Many customers start with a read-only agent for reports and enable writing tools step by step.

Can the doo agent also send emails to attendees?

According to doo in its “Event Agents” webinar of June 17, 2026, the agent currently does not send emails on its own – it acts as an intermediary to the existing doo functions. For rule-based workflows such as reminders or refunds, doo recommends the built-in automations; the agent complements them with flexible queries and actions in dialogue.

What does the doo integration cost?

Using the doo MCP server is governed by your existing contract with doo; ask doo directly about the conditions of the early access program. On the CompanyGPT side, the MCP connection is part of the platform. We take care of setup and training as part of your CompanyGPT project.

Can doo be combined with other integrations?

Yes, that is the real benefit. An agent in CompanyGPT can access doo, your CRM, Microsoft 365 or your BI system at the same time and connect information across system boundaries – for example checking dates in Outlook and then creating the event in doo.
