Use Brevo with AI via MCP
Brevo combines email marketing, transactional messaging and CRM features in one platform from a European vendor with offices in Paris and Berlin – for many marketing teams in the DACH region, an argument in itself. Brevo operates an official MCP server at mcp.brevo.com that exposes all 27 modules through a single interface.
What is Brevo?
Brevo is a marketing and CRM platform that grew out of Sendinblue. Companies manage contacts and lists there, build email and SMS campaigns, send transactional messages from their own applications and run multi-step automations along the customer lifecycle. CRM and chat features for sales and customer contact round out the picture.
For AI agents, Brevo is therefore both a data source and a tool: on one side contact data, segments and send results; on the other, the ability to prepare campaigns and automations. Analysis in particular – which send performed, which segment barely responds – is often resolved far faster in conversation than through report views.

How to Connect Brevo to CompanyGPT
Brevo operates an official MCP server at mcp.brevo.com/v1/brevo/mcp, reachable over streamable HTTP.
Authentication uses an MCP token that you generate in your Brevo account. Scope is governed by the choice of endpoint: the main endpoint exposes all 27 modules – for contacts, campaigns, transactional email or automations, among others – while separate module endpoints such as mcp.brevo.com/v1/brevo_contacts/mcp exist alongside it. The MCP token itself is not scoped per module; narrowing comes from the endpoint you connect, not from the token.
CompanyGPT connects to the endpoint directly from your own cloud tenant. Your administrators define by role and group who may use the Brevo integration – typically the marketing team – and whether an agent may only analyze or also create content.
Typical Use Cases
How AI agents in CompanyGPT work with Brevo
Analyze campaigns
Marketing asks about the results of recent sends and has notable patterns in open and click behavior explained by segment.
Check segments
Before a send, the agent clarifies how large a segment is, which criteria define it and when those recipients were last contacted.
Prepare content
From a briefing, the agent produces subject lines and copy variants for a send that the team then reviews and approves in Brevo.
Frequently Asked Questions
Brevo and AI – the most important answers
Does Brevo have an official MCP server?
Yes. Brevo operates an official MCP server at mcp.brevo.com/v1/brevo/mcp. It is addressed over streamable HTTP.
How does authentication work?
Via an MCP token that you generate in your Brevo account and that we configure in CompanyGPT. No separate OAuth flow is required.
What are the 27 modules about?
The MCP server covers 27 functional modules, for contacts, campaigns or automations for example. The main endpoint exposes all of them; separate module endpoints such as /v1/brevo_contacts/mcp exist as well. Narrowing therefore happens through the endpoint you connect, not through the MCP token.
May an agent send emails on its own?
Only if you allow it. In CompanyGPT you can restrict per agent whether it may only analyze and prepare or also trigger sends. For actual sending, human approval is the sensible default.
Does the European vendor background matter?
For many marketing teams in the DACH region, the vendor's European base is one factor in their own data protection assessment. What governs, however, is your contract with Brevo and the processing terms agreed there; CompanyGPT itself runs in your own cloud tenant.
